Designing and developing an app for identifying songs, movies, and TV shows
In a crowded market with strong players like Shazam dominating, Axwave wanted to do more than just identify songs, movies and TV shows. They wanted users to be able to discover and purchase related content and products. SFCD was selected to create a best-in-class sound recognition app.
We designed a differentiated user experience that makes the sound recognition process more enjoyable thanks to smart animations and interactions. We also developed the front end of the iPhone app working closely with the Axwave team leading back-end development. The entire project took us two months.
In the three months after the launch, Gsound surpassed 300 thousand downloads and received hundreds of reviews on the App Store with an average rating of 4.5 stars.
